I’m still on the pom pom making train (as per my autumn wreath a couple of months ago), so I decided to whip up a winter wreath for the door this season, and I really like how it turned out! We bought a BEAUTIFUL wreath last year in all blues and whites to last all season… but a family of birds really fell in love with it too, and took it over so that we couldn’t use our front door for months last year! I love the birdies, but I love being able to go outside too. 😉 So, I decided we needed something on the blank door that the birds wouldn’t nest into this year, so here we go!
I used this Clover pom pom kit, making mostly the larger size but a few smaller ones to fill in some spaces. I’ve also purchased this kit with smaller makers for making garlands and more teeny tiny projects – so fast after making the bigger poms!
I was originally going to make it all in the multicolor yarn, but… ran out, and the store discontinued it! A little compromising, and I think I like the mix of yarns better! I also grabbed some “icy” plant sticks for the middle to fill it in a bit.
What crafts are getting you through winter, friends (bonus if they are able to be done in front of the TV!)?
