I have naturally wavy hair, which means I can either straighten my hair or curl it with a curling iron. I have been searching for products that will allow me to wear my hair wavy/curly without looking like a frizzy mess.
After searching on Pinterest (my favorite time sucker), I came upon Miss Jessie’s Original Pillow Soft Curls. Now, I will be honest, my Mom owns a salon so I’m a faithful salon product purchaser. Although skeptical, I headed out to Target to find this miracle curl enhancer. After searching for 15 minutes in the aisle I finally found it.
The bottle is not terribly showy but has a retro feel to it. I’m one of “those” people, so I opened it to see what it smelled like. I loved the muskiness, I think that is a word. So I took it home and followed the directions. You have to wash, condition and detangle your hair before putting a generous capful in your hair and then scrunching. You can then either dry your hair with a diffuser or let it air dry. I chose the air dry option (my diffuser has been lost since I have moved never to be found again). My hair was so soft and I had pretty non-frizzy waves. My hair is fine so I was worried that it would look greasy or weighed down but it didn’t at all.
I definitely give this product two thumbs up. If there is any negative it is that it is a bit pricey: I paid $22 at Target.
