Neat and Nifty Things

It’s been a snowy week here in the Midwest, friends – hope you are warm and safe wherever you are! While I love snuggling into snow days with tea, books, blankets and dogs, I’m not such a fan when it comes time to shovel out and go into the world again! But, make snow ice cream was a nice bonus for our copious snowfall (above). 🙂

(The recipe is super simple: a cup of milk and a half a cup of sugar, whisked together, then add in some vanilla to taste, and dump in about 5-6 cups of powdery snow. Top with sprinkles, of course!)

Here’s what else is making me happy this week…

I’m all about this Bolognese showdown (and I’ve had the winner’s recipe in my queue of “things to make” for a while!)…

Wes and I recently devoured The Last Dance on Netflix, which is a 10-part series about the Chicago Bulls run to six championships, and of course, heavily focusing on Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson (but particularly Jordan’s meteoric rise). Though Wes isn’t a sports fan at all, and I haven’t followed the NBA *since* this era, with both found it really fascinating, gripping and so well done. Even if you aren’t a “sports fan”, this is a great documentary series.

How pretty is this ring over at Local Eclectic? The colors, the playfulness of the shapes… I love it!

See you next time, friends!
