Revisiting Monet’s Garden

As the flowers here in the Midwest continue to spring forth and the trees fully leaf out in all their green glory, I look wistfully at my garden. It’s… fine, but it’s no Monet’s Garden.

A few years ago with my bestie Megan, we had the chance to tour Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny.

And it did not disappoint. 🙂

As I look around my flowerbeds and hanging baskets today, I wonder how much labor and love it would take to make my wee homestead look like Monet’s dreamy gardens?

On our tour we first visited the stunning Japanese-inspired water garden, and his art came to life before our eyes!

Doesn’t it look like a painting? Everywhere we looked was beauty and inspiration…

The other garden is called Clos Normand and is located in front of the house, and is stunning in it’s own way… I loved the arches avenues…

We also toured through the home, and I was besotted with the art filling the walls and this curved sofa…

I’m ready to go back and be inspired all over again… who’s with me? 🙂
