The Name Game by Beth O’Leary is the latest from O’Leary, a romance author I just adore! This time, we have a case of mistaken identity when two people – a man and a woman – show up on a remote British island for a job at the local farm shop, both with identical names, and both with a job offer. The reluctantly agree to share the job, the apartment, and make a go of it. This is told in an epistolary style (which I love!) and there was such a twist that I GASPED and had to go back and reread. I loved every page of this – I stan Beth O’Leary!

Julia Song is Undateable by Susan Lee was (another!) audiobook listen centers around super successful CEO Julia, daughter of a Korean family who, at 30, needs to be married. She is set up by her family on dates, but her neighborhood friend, Tae, helps her by taking her on “practice dates” and… yeah. You know how this goes. 🙂This was filled with heart and kept me interested.

Ghost Town by Tom Perrotta is told primarily in 1974, as we spend one (transformative) summer with Jimmy Perrini as he navigates the loss of his mother, young love, weird friendships, and a Ouija board. Occasionally we get a chapter or two from grown-up Jimmy, reflecting back. This is super duper readable, short chapters, lots of stuff packed in, and is a totally satisfying read. I loved it!
