I’ve really been leaning into baking, desserts, and more importantly, MY STAND MIXER since I got it for Christmas. Here’s my latest adventure in “making something sweet for Wes to eat after dinner so he doesn’t whine”. 😉
I know these bars don’t LOOK very sexy, but man are they tasty! The above photo is the “before”… the “after” is down below. Enjoy!
1 stick of room temperature butter
1.5 cups of brown sugar (I used light brown sugar)
1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract
2 cups of flour
2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon of baking powder
.5 teaspoon of salt
1 large jar of Marshmallow Creme (13 ounces, I used Jet Puffed)
1 bag of milk chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350°. Beat the butter and brown sugar together until well incorporated, then beat in the vanilla and eggs.
Stir in the flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt until everything is mixed well.
Press about half of your mixture into a greased 9×13 pan, then (stickily) spread your entire tub of marshmallow creme over the mixture. Using the back of a wet spoon helps!
Sprinkle all your chocolate chips evenly on top, then top with the remaining dough, pressing down slightly so it’s flat-ish.
Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes until gooey and golden!
